Workplace Violence Prevention

SMJUHSD's Workplace Violence Prevention Plan has been developed to address hazards associated with workplace violence. The safety of each employee while in the performance of their work activities is a top priority of SMJUHSD.  All employees share responsibility for promoting a safe working environment.  Through the implementation of this Workplace Violence Prevention Plan, SMJUHSD seeks to promote a safe, respectful, and non-threatening work environment for all employees, students, and members of the public.

State law requires employers to establish, implement, and maintain a Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) and violent incident log, provide training to employees on WVPP, and maintain certain associated records. SMJUHSD has worked within state guidelines to develop a WVPP and provide annual training to staff. WVPP reporting is done at the work site level. Linked below you will find a copy of SMJUHSD's Workplace Violence Prevention Plan. Listed below are SMJUHSD administrators who provide leadership around WVPP for their worksite. As a staff member, if you need to report workplace violence, please contact the assigned administrator from your worksite or email wvpp@smjuhsd.org and an administrator will contact you.
